❹ 如何设计小学生的趣味英语作业

小学生英语水平的提高主要依靠课堂教学,课外作业做为其延伸和有效补充,对学生能力的培养起着重要的促进作用。如何有效布置作业,更好地发挥其辅助功能,是摆在每个英语教师面前的重要课题。

小学生对于英语老师布置的家庭作业常常是主观上并不愿意完成,但迫于对教师、家长的畏惧又不得不完成,于是形成了:"你留我写,你逼我交,你批我改"的被动、无奈的作业形式。有10%左右的学生,经常在次日早晨忙忙碌碌地补作业或者拿着别人的作业本抄。甚至有10%左右的学生几乎天天不完成作业,原因是不会做或不愿意做。当问及"你认为理想的家庭作业是什么样的?",绝大多数学生表示,他们喜欢有特色的、动手实践的、有吸引力的、发挥自己创造力的、联系生活实际的、自己跳一跳就能够完成的课外作业。所以,我们设计的课外作业必须具有以下特征:
①差异性。学生是存在个体差异的,有差异的学生做无差异的作业,势必会造成有的学生"吃不饱",有的学生"吃不了"的现象。为此,作业应针对学生的差异,分层布置,让不同发展水平的学生在适合自己的作业中取得成功,获得轻松、愉快、满足的心理体验,从而培养英语能力。
②实践性。多元智能理论认为:"充分提供情节背景下的学习是最有效的"。人要实践由自然人向社会人的发展,必然将所学真正理解并能学以致用。对此,实践性作业正可以发挥它的独特优势。
③趣味性。苏霍姆林斯基认为:"所有智力方面的工作大都依赖于兴趣。"教学的实践也证明:兴趣是最好的老师,是学生学习的动力。然而,一些英语作业形式呆板,内容枯燥,形成了一成不变的脱离实际的无趣模式,这样非常不利于学生英语综合素质的培养。如果我们的作业设计富有创意,形式新颖,内容联系实际并有一定的趣味性,学生定会在一种愉悦的环境中,体验到寻觅真知和增长才干的成功乐趣。
④开放性。我们的教学要坚持以学生为本,充分尊重学生的兴趣爱好,把学生置于一个动态、开放的学习环境中,为学生提供多元、综合学习的机会,让学生在无拘无束的环境中,学得主动,学得积极,使每位学生都成为学习的主人,体现自主开放的学习过程。
结合几年来的教学实践,我逐渐摸索出了运用四类作业形式,提高小学生英语综合运用能力的"任务型"教学的英语作业设计路子。
1.尝试实践型的作业
"任务型"教学倡导把握语言的最终途径是让学生去做事情。当学生积极地参与,用目的语进行交际的尝试时,语言也就被把握了。因此,采访、写观察记录、做调查等作业形式能很好地发挥学生的语言潜能。
在学习了四年级上册的《Unit
5 What would you
like?》这一单元后,我设计了这样一份作业:学校新餐厅要开业了,炊事员想了解一下班里同学爱吃的食物,以方便同学们。要求学生设计一份采访记录表,用英语记录被采访对象的姓名以及喜爱的食物名称,每人至少采访5个以上同学并在小组内交流,再把统计的结果制成表格在班内汇报。
这道作业贴近生活,学生能运用所学知识进行真实地交际。他们的爱好被真实地调动了起来,不仅巩固了语言知识,还与其他同学沟通了感情,培养了一定的观察和思考能力。
2.尝试创新型的作业
《新课程标准》指出,教学过程是激发学生创造性的过程。教学除了在课堂教学中设计各种趣味活动激发学生创造性能力外,还应在作业设计与布置上渗透这一理念,让学生将学过的词汇、语言结构等重新组合表达自己的想法和意思。小学英语教材为学生提供了大量歌曲、韵诗、故事等丰富的学习内容,教师除了可以布置读、背、表演类的作业外,还可以设计如"歌词新作"、"小诗新创"、"故事新编"等作业。
在学完《Books and
pencils》这首歌后,我布置了这样的一道作业:同学们能自己试着写出新的歌词吗?利用课外活动时间开了一个"老歌新唱"演唱会,学生用学过的或自学的文具及课本单词编出了一首首新歌。课上课下学生边演边唱,热情高涨。一些平时学习英语比较困难,成绩落后的学生也加入到"小作家"的行列,开始模拟着"写诗"了,当他们看到自己的作品也能登上班级的"大雅之堂",心里格外兴奋,自信心油然而生,也就逐渐喜欢上英语课啦。
3.尝试制作型的作业
在"任务型"教学中教师要经常设计一些任务让学生动手制作以获得和积累学习经验。这类型的作业无疑能使学生享受"I can do it in English"的乐趣。
如:学完祈使句后,我让学生为校园的各个场所设计英语警示牌。学生留心观察校园的各个角落,精心完成这项作业。于是,学校的绿树、红花上有了"Don't
climb the tree!""Don't pick the flowers!"等提示语。垃圾箱旁树上了"Put the trash in
the bin!"楼梯拐角处贴上了"Don't push!"等温馨提示……

4.尝试自选式作业
如在教授完My Family 一单元后布置的"今日作业超市":
☆录音作业,模仿课文录音的语气,朗读课文的内容。
☆☆对话作业,带上自己的家庭照片,和小伙伴用英语介绍各自的家庭成员。
☆☆☆实践作业,到同学家去做客,试着用英语来进行家庭成员间的相互交流。
此类型作业体现差异性和实践性共存。从☆到☆☆☆作业难度逐步加大,学生可以根据自身特点挑选"超市"中难易不同的作业类型。基础较差的学生选择完成☆作业,学有余力的学生可以选择多项作业。
这样的形式打破了以往单一的作业模式,增加了作业的弹性,把选择权交还给学生。充分考虑到学生的学习基础的差异,发挥学生的自主性。
加上相应的评价制度,完成☆作业最多只能得一颗星,如果完成三项作业,就能相应地得到☆☆☆☆☆☆。结果只有一小部分学生选择了☆作业,大多数学生都自愿完成三项作业。有的学生为了语境更加真实,发动全家一起学习一些常用的问候语,配合他成功地完成了☆☆☆作业。
总之,在尝试完成以上四类不同形式作业的同时,学生的学习方式发生了很大的变化。从"要我学"到"我要学",从封闭、单一的接受性学习到开放、多元的有意义的学习,学生真正有机会在完成作业中综合运用所学语言,在交流展示中浓厚了英语学习的爱好,强化了英语学习动力,培养了自主学习、合作学习和探究学习的意识。

英语,作为一门国际语言,越来越受到重视。作为启蒙教育的奠基石,幼儿英语教育成为关注的“热点”。随着社会经济的发展,人们越来越注重双语教学教育的开发研究,幼儿园双语教学已成为家长和孩子们的迫切需要。实践证明:让孩子在语言发育时期就接触英语,同时运用英语和汉语表达自己的思想,对孩子的语言发展有很大好处。

然而,在当前幼儿英语教学中,由于认识和实践上的偏差,许多幼儿英语教学成人化

,使幼儿过早丧失了对学英语的兴趣。因此,怎样提高幼儿学英语的兴趣呢?我园自开设英语课以来,经过教师的不断探索和实践,摸索出了适合幼儿年龄特点的教学方法。并且注重培养幼儿的学习兴趣,教学效果很好。在教学中,我们遵循以下原则:

一、趣味性原则

兴趣是人们爱好某种活动或力求认识某种事物的倾向。兴趣可以分为直接兴趣与间接兴趣两种。直接兴趣是对事物本身感到需要而产生的兴趣,例如:幼儿开始学英语时,一般都会对一门外语有一种跃跃欲试的心理。如果教师能采用一些新颖、有趣的教学方法,引起幼儿的求知欲,使他们兴致勃勃地去学英语,当他们学会了一句日常用语,学会说几个英语单词后,就会有一种满足感,就会产生愉快的情趣体验,从而产生更进一步学习英语的兴趣。

“兴趣是最好的老师”,兴趣对学习有巨大的促进作用。如果一个人对所学内容感兴趣,就会孜孜不倦、乐在其中,越学越爱学。兴趣不是天生的,它需要教师的引导、培养和保护才能形成和发展。幼儿的特征是好动、爱表演、不怕羞,乐于接受新奇的、趣味性强的事物,而教师教法的好坏直接影响着他们的学习兴趣。利用游戏教学,尽可能地将枯燥乏味的语言为幼儿乐于接受。生动有趣的学习形式,使幼儿在玩中学、学中玩,为幼儿创造一种良好的语言交际情况,这样,有利于幼儿的英语学习,同时也培养了幼儿各方面的素质。

二、多种多样的教学方法,提高幼儿英语的兴趣

俗话说兴趣是最好的老师。“玩中有学、学中有玩”。爱玩是孩子的本性,游戏是最感兴趣的。幼儿园英语教育是一种启蒙,要把重点放在学习英语的兴趣上,如果幼儿对英语感兴趣,他在学习的过程中就会表现出一种积极的情绪,孩子会主动融入到活动中。反之,如果只是追求单词句子数量的多少,那会倒了孩子的胃口,孩子会处于一种消极状态。

因此,我们在设计教学活动时要游戏化,注意让孩子在各种游戏中慢慢学习单词。首先把要掌握的单词以图片、头饰、动作等各种不同形式展现给学生,实行整体定量输入,根据不同孩子的记忆特点,他们会或多或少记住不同的单词。在玩中学,学中用使幼儿的学习兴趣提高,巩固所学的语言形式,激发幼儿的成就感。在游戏中通过多听、反复感觉,从而在脑海里的印象就加深了,这样不仅可以让孩子尽情投入到游戏中,同时还给孩子一个轻松和谐的语言环境,使得课堂充满活力。

1、故事教学法

故事对学龄前幼儿具有极大的吸引力,它情节生动活泼,内容丰富和趣味性,在故事中贯穿英语内容,可以充分调动孩子的积极性,使孩子的注意力集中起来,使幼儿在和谐的气氛中增进学习意识,提高学习兴趣。例如:一次我在教“Come in ,please.”与“Go out.”时,先为孩子们讲一个兔妈妈要去买菜,要兔宝宝在家等候,却来了一只大灰狼要兔宝宝开门,兔宝宝发现是大灰狼,一齐将大灰狼赶跑的故事。在讲述中,将“Come in ,please.”“Go out.”穿插其中,孩子们对此非常感兴趣,在不知不觉中,竟然全部掌握,且印象极深。

2、情景教学法。

在教学实践中,经常发现很多幼儿会说许多英语,既流畅又标准,但问这句话是什么意思,便“哑”了。如,我对幼儿说:“Nice to see you !”幼儿会回答我:“Nice to see you !”却从来不会自发性的用这句话跟别人打招呼,只是在别人对他说:“Nice to see you! ”后回答别人:“Nice to see you!”造成幼儿只会说而不会用的现象,归根结底是因为幼儿不明白每一句英语的含义。

针对这种现象,不提倡教师教一句英语,马上用汉语来解释。我们应该积极为幼儿创设情境,这种情境要生活化,幼儿在特定的情境中,理解每一句英语的含义。例如:教师创设按门铃、拜访朋友的情境,使用与当前情景直接相关的英语,并辅以大量的动作和表情,然后再让幼儿开门、请朋友的游戏,及时的巩固了教学内容。

以这种方式学习英语,幼儿即理解又能学以致用。这种形式能够比较好的培养孩子综合运用语言知识的能力,能够培养彼此之间合作,共同完成一项任务,从而提高表演和语言表达能力。在有了一定量的词汇、句型的时候,教师可以让孩子自由组合,进行表演。
