一、了解中西文化的差异是写好英语文章的前提。
这里的文化差异不仅包括人文地理和民俗风情方面的不同，而且包括了中英文语言运用习惯的诸多不同。首先，在平时的教学中，我们就必须根据教材，适时渗透一些西方文化知识，让学生尝试了解相关的文化背景等。课后也可鼓励他们自己上网查阅相关资料。这样，既开阔了学生语言学习的视野，也为他们日后的写作提供了一些文化素材。例如，在写 “My favorite festival”一文时，很多学生都写到 “Christmas Day”，这里就涉及到了不少西方节日风俗的文化知识。对这个节日了解较多的学生，他们准备着笔的内容就比其他同学丰富多了。其次，了解英语语言运用的习惯，学习一些简单的英语语法知识，对于写作也是很有必要的。否则，就容易在谴词造句中出现我们中国人学英文的通病——中国式英语。
二、要灵活变通，合理做好作业批改。

有个翻译界的故事说：在某大型国际会议的招待会上，一道菜是用鸡蛋做的。与会的客人问翻译：“What is it made of?”本来是非常简单的一个问题，结果翻译太紧张，忘了“egg”这个词，但是他急中生智，回答：“It is made of Miss Hen’s son.”这里，就是一个灵活变通的范例。绕道表达，是写作中应该常常运用的一种方法。
三、积累词汇和句型是英语写作入门的关键。

听说读写是语言学习的四大要素。在学习的过程中，这四者是紧密联系，相互促进的。在现阶段的小学英语教学中，略侧重于口语教学，这与学生的年龄结构和语言习得规律的阶段性都有关系。为此，小学高年级的英语教师就必须利用这一点引导学生成功跨越初步写作的障碍。小孩基本都有个“通病”——爱动口，懒动笔。所以即使对高年级的学生，在教学中我依然重视他们的口语训练，只不过形式改变了，要求提高了。回答问题，连词说话和复述课文等都是我常用的练习方式，偶尔还会让学生进行相应的写话训练。这样一来，学生不仅口语方面有提高，而且写话水平也有了明显的进步。在每次进行作文练习时，我通常都要求学生先说一说，然后再提笔。这相似于低年级学生初学中文写作时的说话练习环节，对于他们尽快踏入写作之门都是很有益处的。

我不会忘记，在刚刚上学时，妈妈接送我上学放学，教我写字、画画。下雨了，妈妈冒雨给我送雨伞。记得有一次，我感冒了，发着高烧，妈妈骑着车带着我上医院看病打针，回来的路上，妈妈不小心扭伤了脚，只好一瘸一拐地用车推着我，硬挺着把我推到了家里。每天，妈妈的工作都很繁忙，有时还不能按时回家，即使这样，妈妈也要尽快赶回家，为我做饭，做家务活，做到很晚。正因为这样，才使我在班里的成绩名列前茅。我真为有这样的妈妈感到高兴。
我的妈妈有一个最大的特点，就是说起话来像一个扩音喇叭。以前我总是快到上课时间了才极不情愿地与被窝说“拜拜”。“儿子，快起床！上课要迟到了！”我一听吓一跳，连忙用比平时快十倍的速度穿衣服起床吃饭。等我一切就绪，听到妈妈的笑声，一看，才7点！唉，又中了老妈的“夸张”之计了。在妈妈的催促下，我养成了早睡早起的好习惯，上学从未迟到过。
“谁言寸草心，报得三春晖”，母爱是世界上最伟大的爱，我像一棵小树，在母爱的阳光下茁壮成长。

if you want to teach English well you have to be interested in English first. since interest is the best teacher, you can infect your students with your passion. to get your students excited about learning English you can get to know their habits and favourites and teach them how to express them in English, thus they can accept the language as a part of their lives. the second important thing is encouragement. whenever they memorize some hard words or long sentences or use the grammar correctly, don't forget to praise, they need them to make a second step with confidence. after teaching English with passion in various ways, i believe both you and your students can make big progress.
